Horst in Linz – aka the cosiest place in the city

I’ve walked past it a couple of times. I’ve also read about it online on Doris’ blog (only German) and I knew one thing: I needed to visit him, and I already knew I would be completely in love with him! But what am I talking about? I’m talking about the lovely Horst. But Horst sadly isn’t a person, but a wonderful and cosy little nest in Linz. It’s so much more than a place to eat – primarily it’s a shop for home decoration. It’s one of those where you’ll spend way too much money (and you’ll find wonderful things for your mum as well).

Lunch and Tea @ Horst

Horst serves healthy lunch menus – either a soup or a salad and a main course. But you’ll need to be quick – they only prepare a certain amount of meals. Call them to reserve a spot. Monday to Thursday there’s vegetarian meals and on Friday it’s vegan time.

Even though Horst is Austrian, he loves a good English Teatime. So he serves tea (and coffee) and fresh cake in the afternoon.

During the day you’ll always get some cake as well as hot and cold drinks – also try their homemade ice tea (I especially loved their ginger-lemon one).

By the way, in summer you can sit in their shady courtyard.

Find Horst

Mozartstraße 19 – get off Mozartkreuzung and walk Eastbound – it’s not far, I promise 😉

Here you’ll find more about them and the current menu.

To me, Horst is a fantastic place, where you can work on your laptop, but also read a good book or meet up with friends.Dear Horst, I already know it, we’ll become very dear friends

Viktoria Urbanek Travel Blog Chronic Wanderlust

Grüß dich, I'm Viki!

At Chronic Wanderlust, I write about my two great passions: travelling and diving – and have been doing so since 2013.

I usually spend a solid majority of the year travelling to experience extraordinary underwater adventures, taking road trips through countries I don’t know (yet) or exploring my home country of Austria.

As a certified divemaster, passionate underwater & travel photographer, road trip enthusiast and individual traveller, I collect unique moments all over the world.

I don’t believe that severe cases of wanderlust – aka chronic wanderlust – can be cured, only treated. On this blog, I want to show you how this can best be realised.

Curious to get to know me better?
